FS: Daedalus Pan
« on: 13 Nov 2013, 10:13 pm »
These are great speakers and probably not even fully broken in yet with a conservative estimate of 150hrs on them.  I received these back at the end of July right before going on vacation for a month.  They've essentially been used for 2.5 months (Sept 3rd until now) and are in the exact condition they arrived in.  These came with the "version 2" technology that everyone is upgrading their older Daedalus to.  I will only be selling them with the nice Skylan stands as they are specifically designed for the angled cabinet of the Pan.

Why am I selling?  When I was on vacation I unexpectedly bought a new house on the other side of the country.  This home is vastly different from the small space I have now in San Francisco and for the first time in 24 years I am sharing no walls with neighbors.  I'm going to take full advantage of this new freedom and get some larger speakers that can play deeper and better fill the open space.

SOLD!

Daedalus + Shindo + a mighty fine looking TT.  That's one awfully impressive system.  Must sound sublime!

Wow.  Daedalus is probably the only other speaker company on the planet I'd like to own.  These are really sexy.  Hope someone in Michigan buys them!

keeping the same job, work from home.  people think SF is all great because of what they see on TV or on a 2 week vacation.  try living here, it's awful!  can't wait to get out.

I would imagine I'll be visiting Chicago on occasion for my big city fix.

Well, I never said California is good.  Great to visit my brother but even more expensive than where I used to live and I'm on the other side with the majority of that states beliefs.   :duh:

yeah, I would recommend it for vacation only.  real estate in SF is at $1000 a sq ft for a basic house in an OK area.  way too many people.  you have to plan your life around traffic patterns.  the simplest task like going to the grocery store will drive you mad.  if you want to do something outdoors you're with everyone else who wants to also and it feels like Disneyland.  too many rules too!

Excellent. Orthobiz in Cadillac MI does the same. Will also give holler when I visit friends in Ann Arbor.

V,

Good luck to you on your move to Ann Arbor. I worked in Toledo, Ohio for about 2 years (2005-2006) and on the weekends I did not go back home, I would hang out in Ann Arbor. A very cool town with quite a few record stores and some great restaurants.

Oh and you're not far from Jim Salk's place so you can go and listen to some of his excellent speakers. I ended up with a beautiful set of Salk SS8's in Curly Maple with Deep Red Rose dye.

BTW, what is your audio stand in the pics?

Godspeed,

Tim
