Thanks Tom.  In so many words I think Danny was saying to use the sealed subs in the rear of the room before doing anything else.   Was the system at the RMAF reinforced in the back of the room with sealed subs?

I'll have some experienced ears over to the house this weekend.   What better housewarming than to have people with the same type of speakers give the rig a listen and make suggestions on the room treatments, speaker placement, the system synergy and bass reinforcement.   There are alot of things right about the room and the system.  There is alot of work to be done as well.   I just got off the phone with the electrician and he is coming off the price quite a bit for the rewire.   That may free up more funds for subs.  Sunil (SoundofRockets) and John (SoCalWJS) will be over on Saturday.  If Cliff (Shotoons) gets over his cold we hope to see him as well.  Michael (MichaelHiFi) may be coming.

We did. They were set at 25Hz and down (not playing up very high), and turned about half way up. And out of phase of coarse with the front speakers. They really take away the bass heaviness in the back of the room where people are walking in and standing around.
