Thanks for the offer, but I do have mats of EPDM that I tooled up a few years ago. Unfortunately, I now Have nine turntables, but not enough mats. I know that the softer durometer really quiets a TT down. I sometimes like to put a dense mat directly on the platter, to take out ringing, then put the much softer EPDM mat on to take out resonances.
Keep working on your table. You will be surprised at how awesome it can become, with a few tweaks. And to top it off, if you need a beer while the record ends, you don't have to worry, 'cause it's semi-automatic, to boot.
