Hi all Audio Circle members.
I like my subject's title.
It's flashy, isn't it ?
I made this sub-base for my Rythmik sub woofer model F12G
purchased a few years back from Danny.
I purchased not one, but two.
I don't use them as much as I would like,
because I have my V1 and V2 that gives me great satisfaction.
No, there is no patent pending on that contraption,
I cannot make any money with my invention,
however, it was fun to build and in this boring country (Vietnam)
I have to find things to not be bored to death.
No, they are not for sale.

Way to go Guy13.  I like the idea and have thought of
doing something similar with stand mount speakers.
I'm assuming you ground down the threads on the bolts
yourself.  I've used different ideas for support and
vibration elimination many time.  I'm too cheap to
buy the high dollar stuff.  Although I'm wondering if
I've spent soooo much money on my own ideas that
it might have been cheaper to buy the high dollar
stuff. 

If I get daring enough I might post some pictures of
the silly stuff I've done.

Looks like you have designed yourself a high-Q resonating system.  If you haven't already done so, it would be interesting to run a signal sweep at 80db or so through the woofer and note the frequency that excites it.

Hi persisting1 and all Audio Circle members.
Did I miss your post or are you answering/commenting late?
I've tried the sub on the double spikes contraption (Patent pending )
and the sub directly on the carpet with double underlay
and I could not tell any difference,
but that's me, does not mean there is no difference.
However, even if there is not difference, with my double spikes contraption 
(Patent pending ) it sure look nice, look professional.
The idea of double spikes is a good idea, if it works one way,
it should work the other way around.
I am still trying to arrange my listening room which is combine with my office/stockroom and it's taking more time that anticipated.
Once everything is completed, I will try again my double spikes contraption (Patent pending  ) and let you know my findings.

If that what you mean,
I go it done by a Vietnamese machiniste for the same price as a pack of gum, everything make in Vietnam here is inexpensive.
Same thing for the bases themselves, a cabinet maker did it for me for three times nothing.
Labor and material here in Vietnam is so cheap that I don't bother making it myself, especially that I don't have much tools.
I dare you to show us your pictures, you know, we might learn something from your ideas put into pictures.
