I have been working with the test boxes all day today, and made a few modifications.
The port did not work out in the front too well. Overtones carried over much to high, and caused a peak in the 200Hz range that I didn't like.
So I plugged the port hole in the front and cut a new one in the back. This worked out real well.
The response is slightly smoother if the port is sealed. And the spectral decay looks slightly cleaner in the lower ranges with the port sealed. Either way though looks great. The decay rate is really fast. So these things are going to sound super clean. There is no cone break up or stored energy anywhere either. So no ringing. And I got the response to within +/-1db all the way up to 5kHz. Above that there is a dip and some small peaks, but they are pretty small. Still within +/-3 peak to peak. And the peaks being that high up really don't bother me too much.
Here is a response curve on axis.

Here is on axis, 10, 20, 30, and 40 degrees off axis. Since the driver is fairly small the off axis response looks real good especially compared to larger full range drivers where the off axis response dies immediately leaving hot spots right in front of the speakers.

And here is the spectral decay. This is cleaner than about 99% of the speakers out there.

I think you guys are going to be floored by these little speakers.
