Why I'm not doing much listening these days

Here's a link to my band's performance at Potosi on Saturday.  We were the highest scoring band of the day.  Kids really stepped it up for this performance.

One more week of marching band then I'll be back in action.

Thanks Guy.  I don't know how they remember all their spots on the field.  I sure couldn't march that show.  Good thing all I have to do is teach it.  :thumb:

Tell the kids--Great Job!
Lots more fiddling with the set-up and new speakers are sounding very nice--let me know when you have some time for a listen.

Outstanding. I kind of know what kind of work goes into this. I was a member of drill teams from the time I was 12 up to and including the USN. Throwing around bayoneted rifles seems like child's play compared to this.

Doc,
I'm sure glad my girls don't have bayonets on their rifles.   :o

We have plenty of injuries with our regular wooden rifles.

How very cool, congratulations.

Brings back the memories, my daughter was in marching band (15 years ago). Probably the best experience of her high school years, a lot of good life lessons learned there. They all went to Taiwan for one trip then Ireland a couple of years later, raised all the funds themselves. She's still good friends with a lot of the band members...  eventually married one of them.

Too bad the marching band program was cut.

Best wishes to you and all the kids.

Very cool 8)

The formations of the band sorta reminds me of watching those old fractal programs in the early days of PCs  :thumb:

Congrats! As a former band director I know just how many hours and what effort this takes. No wonder you aren't doing mush listening; I had 28 years of listening backed up until I retired. Good luck !
