Hi everyone and sorry about the late reply it was pretty hectic here.

Many thanks for all the support and I greatly appreciate it.

I want nothing more than to help everyone out the best I can and with the new line of drivers I hope more and more will have the opportunity to build their own speakers that they will be most proud of. I wish I had more choices when I started with single drivers.

Hi Guy 13,

I understand and no worries at all. I was trying to convey that you would have an easier time with the design by looking into help from MJK as you stated who is an authority on the subject.

Also I do agree with JLM's post in regards to communication.

If you do go ahead I would be happy to work with you.

Hi beowulf,

I've seen similar plans of the first one in your post and looks interesting and pretty easy to do.

Thanks again,
Louis

Hi Louis and all Audio Circle members.
Thanks Louis for your offer to help me.
As soon as I get back to Canada I will re-contact you for the purchase
of your drivers, it's no use now for me to order the drivers
while I am still in Vietnam.
Maybe by the time I am back in Canada,
you will have widen your choice of drivers.
Thanks and keep up the good work,
not enough people like you on this planet.

Hi Canada Rob and all Audio Circle members.
Thanks for the link, its very interesting and informative.
As soon as I finish writing this, I will write to Louis of Omega to give him my order.
Not sure yet if I will go with the 7F or 7A, for the difference in price, I am not sure that the Alnico is a lot better ?
I am on a very limited budget, plus I am not that demanding.
I am happy with my Audio Nirvana basic model, therefore, I think I should be happy with the 7F.
Thanks again.

@Guy 13 congratulations on your purchase. Though I've not heard any of the Omega speakers, going by the reviews and description especially of a couple of my friends, I think you may be better off sticking with the design provided by Louis than going on a wild goose chase. My intention is not to undermine your ability or knowledge so no offenses meant.

Hi rajesh and all Audio Circle members.
Thanks for congratulating me on my Omega purchase.
{{ Wild goose chase }} you say.
I have already been experimenting with my Audio Nirvana 8" full range drivers
on five, yes, five (05) different type of enclosures from bass reflex to open baffle,
therefore for my the Omega, it won't be a wild goose chase, I know exactly what I want and I have a good idea of how it will sound.
I was asking Louis because I would like to explore other possibilities,
after all, the driver won't be glued to a final location,
I can always relocate it and experiement further more,
is that waht DIY is all about?
I am not offended at all with your comments,
with my several years of experience as an Audio Circle members,
I've learned to take whatever Audio Circle can throw at me.
If you want to comment,
how about telling me what size of bass reflex enclosure you would
recomment for the Omega 7F driver,
that would be more constructive that what you wrote above,
don't you think so ?
No hard feeling and have a nice day.

Hi Guy 13,

Thanks for the kind words and I would start off with a cabinet such as this.

It would be a wide baffle small floorstander.

The height would be 38" Tall x 11" wide and 8" Deep.

This is using 3/4 material or 19mm.

Port it in the bottom or lower back. 2" x 2 1/8" long.

You will get into the 40Hz range easy.

Thanks,
Louis

Louis, do any of your speakers use baffle step compensation?
