After seeing Mr. Sherman's interview, all I have to say is Go Broncos!

The winners get the Vince Lombardi Trophy and have to go to Disney World, the losers get a chrome plated bong and a plane ticket home.  What a country.
Yeah, Sherman's interview was an embarrassment. Even Stanford graduates can seem like idiots sometimes. He's still young and excitable.
Hmm.... I wonder what Crabtree was saying to him? They were probably trash talking all game long.

A shame that the best cornerback in the league will miss out on all those endorsement deals because of his mouth, the dreadlocks and facial hair.  He looks kewl, but won't be doing any Campbell's Soup commercials.  Too bad he doesn't play for a Colorado team, may have been some opportunities there....

The games played out as expected, NE was behind the eight ball the whole game, they played tough and kept it close late, but were never really in the game.  Seattle/San Fran came down to one play, a great game.  I'm glad the blown call on the goalline turned out to be a non-issue.  Should make for a great Superbowl with Seattle being the villains and Denver being the all American good guys.

Congrats Seattle and Denver fans (me, too).  That Seattle defense is all it has been cranked up to be.  Now they will face the surgeon.  Forty Niner Kapernick needs some seasoning.  I think the Niners should have been more patient on that last drive, also.

I thought you're from Washington State. Why "Go Broncos!"???

Go Hawks!!

The Seattle defense will get to Manning in the pocket.

Grew up in Denver and lived there more than 1/2 my life. I went to both the first exhibition game and first home game in 1960 when I was 12. Our family still has the season tickets my father bought in 1962 (priority number 1195). Followed the Broncos to 3 Super Bowls. They've always been the only pro team I follow.

Should be a good game. Denver has the best pass protection in the league--strength v. strength.

At least the outcome of the NFC game makes my choice for who to root for in the Super Bowl easier

Go Broncos

Could be, indeed, Soundbitten.  Clear and light wind, Manning will do his thing.  He's getting good protection and, as a matter of fact, Denver's D is playing very well.  Seattle will need a game as fierce as what we just saw but on a neutral field.  Fair weather, but the game is in the East, Denver should win this.

Oooh!  Oooh!  Can't wait to see Deion Sanders suit up for the PowderPuff, uh, Pro Bowl!!! :duh:

These guys beat their brains out for four months plus the playoffs.  Why on earth do they want play one that means nothing?  Especially to the fans…….

Should be a pretty straightforward Denver win I think.   Seattle has some good defense, but unless they uncork a couple of great offensive plays I don't see them winning against Manning and his offense.

I was hoping for a 49'rs vs Pats Superbowl, so I am way off!

Seattle has a chance if they can put pressure on Manning. New England could not.

Well, Seattle had the 12th man at home and it was down right crazy around here. The defense is definitely Seattle's strong point, and while I'm hoping for my home team to win mcgsxr is right, Seattle is going to have to play some good offense to pull this off.

Go Hawks!

Jim, not sure if you saw my earlier post but if I can help you out in some way when you are up in Seattle just PM me. In the summer months I go to several concerts at the St. Michelle winery, it's great outdoor venue. They don't do a lot of jazz shows but I've seen some amazing artists and it's a great time.

I meant to attach this......   http://www.ste-michelle.com/visit-us/summer-concerts

What do you mean "all game"? They've been doing it since last season.

I see several important variables to consider in the Super Bowl. The biggest one is the refs. Will they enforce the rules concerning pass interference and holding? Seattle doesn't have a prayer if these are enforced. Secondly, and related, is whether or not Manning throws picks. And lastly, whether or not the Bronkies can stop Lynch. If Seattle can't run, they will have a long afternoon.

The pass rush on Manning can be meaningful but he gets the ball out so quickly, the opposition can't get to him. That is the main reason why the Broncos have given up the least sacks in the NFL this season.

If the game is fairly tight I think Denver wins. If the Broncos get a significant lead and go into that stupid "prevent" defense, they may give up the momentum and get flipped like they did in NE.

Hi, Jimdgoulding had it right. Kapernick went to fast in the final drive, didn't they have a timeout left? The guy interviewed at the very end that they had to get the camera off fast made me a Bronco fan for the big one even though I'm a lifelong Pats fan. What a dope! More thugs; less viewers. What I really didn't get was those ping pong warm up ads with Arnold wearing a wig. I have no clue about that, and I'm sure it wasn't cheap to air. Anyone else understand it?....Mark Korda

From Fox Sports:

Arnold Schwarzenegger will have a cameo role on Super Bowl Sunday -- and from the looks of things, it's gonna be pretty hilarious.  Anheuser-Busch InBev, makers of Bud Light, have released teasers for their ads for the big game, under the tag line, "The Perfect Beer for Whatever Happens."  We take it seeing Arnold warming up for what appears to be an epic ping-pong match qualifies as something few would expect to ever happen.

Schwarzenegger won't be the only star in the Bud Light ad campaign that day. Other spots will feature actor Don Cheadle and comedian Reggie Watts -- and a llama.
"Our six Super Bowl ad teasers give viewers a peek behind the curtain, but fans will have to tune-in during the game to see how these seemingly unrelated events form one cohesive story," Bud Light Vice President Rob McCarthy said in a statement featured in AdAge.com.

Schwarzenegger is said to have earned $3 million for his work, per a New York Post report.

I thought the same thing, another punk, until I saw the locker room interview.  Apparently he's a very intelligent, well spoken Stanford grad who just went off on camera right after an emotional game.  No excuse, but interesting to know.

I'll say one thing for Mr. Sherman, he is a chatty one:

Even a quick pop in the chops doesn't slow him down much.

I liked Sherman until I heard him speak.   He is a punk...make that a PUNK.  I understand both guys were trash talking but he kept it going on camera long after the game.  The initial interview was one thing but he kept going and kept trashing Crabtree.  Stanford must have severely relaxed standards for football players because that guy is nothing like anyone I've ever met from Stanford.  You will never see a guy like that from Northwestern.  They have higher standards, even if they don't win as many games.

I'm rooting for the Broncos in the SB.  Watching both games yesterday really highlighted the two best QBs in the game and two youngsters who are not in the same universe.  Seattle has a good defense but Wilson needs to step it up.  I can't wait for these two great teams to face each other.  It's going to be a fun game to watch.

It's going to be a fun game to watch.

Unless it is played in a driving snowstorm, a Noreaster, or sub freezing temperatures. The NFL should not have waived the dome requirement for host cities with an average daytime high of less than 50 degrees F. :duh:
