Not to cruise off topic, but I have these speaker wires right now.  What do they compare to/with or even, what is the supposed sound supposed to be like vs. other top end cables?  I ask because I have not tried anything else and am curious just how good of a cable it is that I have and certainly others that are interested would like to know:)!

These are made by Transparent Cable, they make some very expensive cables.
This is just a stripped down version with no fancy EQ boxes or pretty jacket that increases a cable's price dramatically...and these sound good.
Think BMW...their low end line will still have the 'family traits'...but without all the bells, whistles, bluetooth, GPS &  V10

The cable's sound provides slightly fuller bass, smooth highs, very nice definition in the midrange with vocals just slightly forward.
If you have a thin sounding system, these will help fill it out.
I have a few different speakers that I swap and the 'sound' using these cables is consistent. It's a nice cable for not too much money.

Those fancy boxes are zobel networks...one can read about them online.  I personally would "never" use the cable with the "fancy" (aka simple zobel networks worth $1 in parts) because the cable must match the speaker or it can screw up the sound.  It's best to just use the wire like you had been using it.

This is VERY thick wire for those that do not know about it.  Perfect for home stuff in general, but perfect also for hooking up say, a high current amp or subwoofer.

I believe what should have been said is that the cable is comprised of 10 gauge wire...the cable itself is about the diameter of a nickle
