The new DXD recording, Carmen Sings the Blues, available in Flac and DSD downloads, has been recorded live in front of a studio audience and is incredible. The sound is very real, very natural.  Highly recommended.

The albums are available in Red book C on her Bandcamp site; https://carmengomes.bandcamp.com/

Carmen Gomes: Carmen Gomes Sings the Blues

Another gem from Sound Liaison, this recording is Carmen Gomes' take on Harry Belafonte's Belafonte Sings the Blues.
Recorded in DXD, this recording is available in any high Rez flavor you prefer. The sound is killer.
Quote
Her style is bluesy and intimate with a sexy voice that's sweet as dark tupelo honey, and her interpretations are unerring. The musicians play to her and to each other, and the ensemble is so tight that the four musicians breathe and move as one.

Michael Bloomfield was absolutely on fire on these live recordings.

In honor of recently departed Peter Green ... Anthology (4 discs on Salvo)

I purchased this terrific box set not long after it came out. Was curious to see if it was still available. Looked on Amazon and found only one box for sale, used, $475!!! Sheesh!

Christone "Kingfish" Ingram.

He was the last artist that I saw perform live before Covid (Early March at the Magic Bag in Ferndale, MI), and boy can he play!

Wow Mav, thanks for the rec.! I'm enjoying the album very much, and from what I'm reading the live album is also a treat.

This is a band for the "gotta see live if/when the world returns to semi-normal" list, that's for sure.
