Thanks for the update Doc.
Back in the early 70s he put on quite good live shows. I recall seeing him and his bro Edgar a few times in Detroit at Cobo back in the day.
I recall opening up that Second Winter LP back when it was released and being astonished that it had only three sides! Side B of the second album was smooth and shiny - no grooves. It blew my mind. I don't recall ever having another album like that - blank on one side.
Think I'll be spinning him today out of respect for his greatness. That, and the fact that I love his work.
