I am not a fan of that veneer. Personbally i think it looks too old fashion 
, but when everything is well matched, all i can see wow. I now have a total different view of that veneer! It actually looks pretty dramatic.
By the way, are you waxing the speakers? What finish did you get?
It appears that you changed your opinion about this veneer in a matter of four sentences. Hahaha
I was polishing the speakers to give them a bit more shine - I like shiny things (cars, speakers, etc). After talking with Jim about doing this, I realized that I had all the correct products already in the garage so it was a "freebie". They are the standard gloss finish......well, they were the standard gloss finish.
