Putting up for sale one of the worlds finest ear instruments, the Audeze LCD-3. These are up for sale to make way for some new gear coming in (Devialet D-Premier).
Having owned the HD800, HD700 and now these I can say that the LCD-3 are clearly the best when it comes to all source material. The bass is unreal for a headphone and the detail is amazing. I was listening to Damien Rice the other night and heard more of every song than I remembered. I recall reflecting on the lyrical prose as it felt like he was talking (singing) to me personally.

The cans are in fantastic condition, not a blemish anywhere. They come with the protective flight box and the standard cable. These are so popular right now even Audeze is back ordered several months!

How old are these? Any remaining warranty left?

I'm not the first owner but they come with a 3 year warranty standard and these haven't been out longer than that.

I wanted to know how old are their to determine if this is an earlier run that had a 'HF veil' problem or is it a more recent build which fixed the issue. Could you find this out? It would also be great to see some photos if you have.

These are part of the revision 2 series having serial number starting 261 which came after the HF Veil "fix" which was reported on the serial 231 series.

Lots of posts on Head-fi.org about the change in serials numbers regarding this.

I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow.
