Yes the shields are anodized aluminum, where they lock the base is sanded to bare metal, the screw that holds the tube socket and shield base is grounded.

Some circuit differences-  Cardas teflon output coupling cap, other capacitors in the audio circuit are all Russian FT3  series caps; NOS tubes -  Raytheon 12AX7's and 6SN7, Philips rectifier.

Due to the large size of the Teflon caps, I had to build a separate set of turret boards to mount them



It sounds as good as it looks, maybe better  8)
