I was once in a cafe and asked for some tomato sauce oops sorry ketchup to put on the overly-dry bacon, you should have heard the carry-on from the chef in the kitchen! You would think I'd said his cooking was terrible.

I ate a cicada in the late 80's to win a bet!  Also, there was a roach crawling across my table in an Amsterdam cafe that was the size of a small hamburger. I thought I was seeing things, not uncommon given the fact that I was in Amsterdam, but my friends confirmed it.  I did not eat it but it would have been filling!
