Ambrosia:  self titled debut         Warner    '75

This is the only image I can find of my cover, though I don't have all the Japanese stuff. Guess one of these days I've got to sit down and get my 'new' camera working.  :duh:

The new reissue on the Sanctuary label. I bought all 4 through Pop Market. 180g mono. Very quiet pressing and sounds really good to my ears. I have an original U.S. mono titled You Really Got Me and I think this one is slightly better.

Sanctuary label 180g mono reissue. Very quiet pressing and excellent sonics. The Kinks really were a great band!

JD,

It's only 11 :D

Friday Music, 45 RPM reissue. Very quiet pressing. Sounds really good with good dynamics. Haven't compared it to my original 33.3 and my Japanese pressing, but will do that soon.

For us, but as you know it's 2 AM for him.  :D

That's probably one of the 1st I'll go for when I'm in a position to start shopping again. Think I'll throw mine on when Ambrosia is done.  :thumb:

Inspired by the vinyl_lady........

Yes: The Yes Album          Atlantic      '71

ps  & Yes, I think you'll find your original sounds good too. I knew, but had forgotten how well this was recorded & it's dynamics. Stands up very well after 40+ years.  :thumb:

First US pressing on Atlantic. This really is a well-recorded album. :thumb: The 45 RPM has a little more detail and slightly better dynamics plus very strong in the low end.

Finishing up the 4 reissues on the Sanctuary label. All are very quiet, very good pressings with excellent sonics. Highly recommended if you are a Kinks fan.

The Who
Quadrophenia

Ok, so while I started to play this on vinyl, in the interest of full disclosure I just couldn't get past the pops and clicks on my relatively clean copy, so I took a flier on the Hi-Rez download from Acoustic Sounds.  While it pained me to drop $48 for software, I gotta say it's a nice recording.  Wish I had a pristine LP to compare it to, but searches have turned up only outrageously priced copies.
