Does anyone have suggestions for a great powder coater to strip and recoat my Technics SP10 MK2A and power supply? It will be completely modified by Bill Thalmann so all I need is someone to do the cosmetic work...

I'm looking for a top notch shop with someone that's very meticulous.

Any thoughts?

You might try these guys. They do a lot of high end bikes. No affiliation.

Maybe Bill can recommend someone?

Thanks. I just e-mailed Bill to see if he has any recommendations. I also asked him if I should have the powder coating done before the mods with Bill or after?

audiogoober,  On a different audio forum that I frequent, supporters of the Technics SP10 say no to painting or powder coating.  They believe that paint or powder coat will decrease the value of the turntable.  what to do?  Powder coat or go to plan B ?  Who is an expert on restoring the
appearance of the Technics SP10?

Bill Thalmann recommends painting and does this in house. He just finished one for Albert Porter. Powder coating is more durable, but probably overkill for audio components.

I'm going to have it reworked to original condition...it will be refinished in all stock colors. I won't be selling this one, and when I'm gone it will go to one of my children. Thanks for the info though...makes sense.
