4/28- SOLD! The Rogue 99 is a great audiophile preamplifier from a great US audio maker. The 99 is a ultra-high performance vacuum tube (6SN7) preamp. I've had this preamp for 4 years and loved it. The Rogue 99 has a GREAT adjustable gain tube phono stage (MM&MC) that performs every bit as well as most $1000+ stand alone phono preamps. I have upgraded the preamp tubes with 4 NOS vintage Sylvania's- these sound great, and will include the upgraded tubes ($450+ value) for asking price. I currently have new production tubes in the phono section, but can audition other NOS options for serious buyers.
The Rogue 99 preamp has a nice remote control (solid metal, built like a tank) and incudes 6 single ended inputs and 2 outputs. It has a outboard power supply, mono switch and adjustable gain for fine tuning to your system. I recently sent the entire unit (pre and power supply) back to Rouge Audio in Pennsylvania for a periodic check and it is operating perfectly. This is the "Super Magnum" model that has upgraded caps, resistors, wiring and power supply. This is a $3000 preamp when new without the Super Magnum upgrade and NOS tubes and I encourage perspective buyers to research reviews, the Rogue website and other "for sale" adds.
