We have had so many people ask for good high end speaker cables to match with our speakers that we started carrying some.

These are great sounding cables for very little money and you can order a pair just to try them out if you want, and why not?

See details: http://www.gr-research.com/wire.htm

I have the Trinity Jr. Cables in various lengths that I am willing to send out to anyone that would like to try them.

A/B them with any high end or high dollar cables that you have and let us know what you think.

You'll have to secure them with a credit card, but there is no charge to you unless you decide to keep them.

Danny,

Will you be doing the same with the Trinity Braid?

Have you heard the cables on speakers other than your own?

How long is the trial period?

Thanks,

George

Trial period.

The trinity Jr, is a six wire braid. Three for positive and three for negative.

Several, but not a lot.

How long would you like? I am flexible and it's just wire. It is not an expensive item.

Hey guys, we are still sending out samples of these speaker cables.

So far everybody really likes them, but I am looking for some more feedback, and need some guys willing to compare these to their favorite megabuck cable.

Who wants to be next to try a pair?

Can you make up a pair of Trinity Braid speaker cables with banana ends?

Danny,

How long will you be offering this demo program ?  At some point in the future (hopefully near-future) I will be looking at comparing a slew of wires in the $250 price range and below.  If possible, I would like to sign up for your demo when that time comes.

Yep, I have high quality banana plugs in stock too. I can use those if you like, same price.

Till the market is saturated with them or I get tired of building them, I guess.

Cable is a system synergy thing. It is something that I think people need to be able to try before they buy so they can get the cable that works best for their system.

I have found these to be pretty versatile and sound great with lots of systems.

They have a lot going for them. It's a heavy gauge and low frequency demands are handled easily. So many have noted good extension in the bottom end. The Teflon over Silver is a hard to beat combo too. Highs are really clear and have great detail level with this wire, but they are not too bright. I think the braided geometer tends to tame the brightness typical of this type of wire.

I have been having each person secure them with a credit card. I pay the shipping to get them to you. If you like them and keep them you pay for them, but the shipping is still on me. If you decide you don't want to keep them just send them back (you pay shipping).

I'll even give as long as 30 days on the demo.

They do need some burn in time when you get them though and I have found that these tend to change more from start to finish than most cables. So be sure to burn them in for awhile. 100 hours is recommended.

It is real easy to get a pair on the way to you.

Go to this page on the GR Research web site:

http://www.gr-research.com/wire.htm

Order the length you want to try, and choose the  Trinity Braid (heavy gauge for full range speakers that draw lots of current) or Trinity Jr.

Put "Free Demo offer" in the comments section. Also let me know if you need or want banana plugs on one or both ends. Otherwise they get the spades (which are actually the best connection).

All is encrypted and secure, and your credit card will not be charged unless you tell me you're keeping them or they never show back up.   :D

Burn them in, and try them out, and give feedback.

That easy...

Danny, do you have inductance and capacitance figures for these cables?

I don't know for sure as I do not have measuring instruments sensitive enough to get a real accurate measurement, but here is what I did get. I just ran the specs on a 6 foot run of the Trinity Braid.

Cable capacitance is measured in picoF. My Clio system measures in microF. Measuring it with the Clio I get no reading (too low to read). So I added a cap in line with it measuring it with the cap and then the cap alone and got .035 microF differential. That would be 35 picoF, if I am not mistaken, and 5.83 picoF per foot. This is quite low.

Inductance for cables is measured in microH. My Clio measures in milliH. Measuring the 6 foot cable I got no measurable inductance. So I measured an inductor with and without the wire in line and got a differential of .001mH. That would be 1 microH or .166 microH per foot. If this is even close it is a fairly low inductance cable too.

Resistance on this cable would also be very low, lower than I can measure.

Okay, a bunch of you guys ordered wire to try and most of you ordered the heavier gauge Trinity version.

I think the three runs of 14 gauge wire comes up to about 11 gauge. Can somebody confirm that?

Anyway, enough of you ordered it that I had to order in some more 14 gauge wire. I still have thousands of feet of the 16 gauge wire used in the trinity Jr.

I think the three runs of 16 gauge should come to about 13 gauge. Can you guys confirm this too?

Braiding ait ll sure is fun too.    Especially you guys that order 12 foot pairs.  :cuss:  My poor fingers.

Sure looks good though, even with Banana plugs.

Pretty far off on both estimates.

Three runs of 14 gauge wire is just over 9 gauge.

Three runs of 16 gauge wire is just over 11 gauge.

Thanks Watson. I guess I was being more conservative than I thought.

Is there a chart or something that can be found on line that will give wire gauge totals of multiple wires?

Speaker cable comments/comparisons????
Seems like there have been quite a few pairs of cables demo'd.  Anyone wish to comment on their qualities and provide a comparison to other cables tried?

Thnx,

"M"

Yo Danny!

Got my trinity braid cables yesterday. I hooked them up this morning and right now I have Peter Whites album Caravan of dreans spinning.

I'm impressed!  Things sure do sound much better. More detail and clarity kind of sums it up.

I'm not sending these back to you. So there! What do you think of that!

Oh by the way. How are your fingers?

                   Cheers
