No affiliation with the seller, but I think this is a pretty good "universal" player. One feature I've always liked is that it has cascaded "pure direct" modes which shut down the video circuitry, digital outs, and finally the dot matrix display, leaving only the DAC and 2-ch analog out as the only active circuitry, lowering the noise floor and contributing to added transparency. I've had two of the little-brother DVD-2910 players and two of these '3910 players and the one remaining is in my main system.
