Bladnoch is superb whisky.  Sadly, distillery bottlings are not available in the U.S to the best of my knowledge.  You can find some independent bottlings, but none of ones I have tried can stand up to the cask strength releases from the distillery.  I bought several bottles from the Whisky Exchange in London, and truth be told I wish I had more.

That looks good Jerome!!

I'm having a Firestone Pale 31, and thinking about a Bourbon chaser.

Happened to see this at the ABC Brewery pub on Avenue C while traveling to my old apartment to pack:

Am now drinking same on a break from stuffing obsessively labeled Sterilite containers.

Marquis de Riscal Reserva 2005.  Best recent vintage in Spain that is ready to drink.

Last night a 2008 El Coto rioja.  Discovered it in Spain a few years ago for 3+ euros.  Chaps my butt to pay $10 for it here, but it's worth it.

No lime Tyson?

Oh yeah, 1 oz fresh squeezed organic lime.  And sea salt rimmed glass.  Even the simple syrup is organic sugar.

The Riscal is one of my favorite "go-to" Spanish wines. I always pick up a bottle or two of this when I am restocking the cellar.

Yep, it's one of the oldest bodegas in Spain, and was a crown jewel forever, but had gotten little love from critics for quite a while.  However, their 2005 outclasses many of their trendier Rioja brothers (Muga, Marquis de Murretta).  It was a great deal until the retailers caught on that Riscal had returned to form.  I suspect that the price will be slow to go back down to reflect value if Riscal can't meet that 2005 quality.

It's 9 am so I'm trying the Sumatra.
Found a local micro roaster and picked up the just roasted Sumatra and a Mexican Altura.
I really enjoy the Altura.  He usually has 6-8 different roasts on hand.  Can't wait till the next trip.
