Convergent Audio Technology JL2 Tube Amplifier
This is a wonderful, beautiful, sweet-sounding tube amplifier with cojones! I've used in on my Avalon Eidelon Diamonds with great success. It is musical and delicate, rich without being euphonic.... it's got grunt. It's output tubes are some of the best sounding with this amp: Cryoset Svetlanas with about 600 hrs max (round holes, not the Winged C). According to Ken Stevens these and the KT120's are the best sounding tubes for the JL2 and sound very similar. I confirmed that with KT120's myself. Rated at 100 wpc, and yet it will drive most anything... it is a very strong 100 wpc!
I am the second owner of this amplifier and it is in great condition (rated 8 to be conservative) and has always lived in dedicated listening rooms. It is a stunning amplifier, and has dedicated tube cages that add a layer of safety under a family setting (see photos).

Shipping dock-to-dock is most reasonable (I drop it off at the dock in my city, you pick it up at the dock in yours). I had it shipped from the midwest to Seattle for $250, which is pretty good for a 145 pound amplifier (those hand-wound transformers are heavy, but they also give the music its gravitas).
I had a maple stand custom made for this amp - it fits it perfectly. I purchased a custom size kiln dried butcher block maple and put adjustable height cones on it myself. If you are interested in this, I would be willing to sell it separately.
