Netflix: What to watch?

Just in case everyone is frantically searching Netflix for "X", you can stop looking, it's not on Netflix unless S Clark has a premium level I'm not aware of.

The film is streaming on Prime, Paramount, AppleTV, Vudo and others.

I loved "X" but obviously it's not for everyone. The movie poster should be a tip off. "Pearl" is the second film in Ti West's trilogy about Maxine. The upcoming film "MaXXXine" will be the final film in the trilogy.

Sorry Tyson. I thought it was your recommendation. I know it was in this thread, so I'll go back to look... but doesn't really matter. I can see how some might think "X" was an interesting bit of directing. Just not my cuppa.

Ahh, I see it was WGH. My mistake. Coming to Netflix next month. I saw it on Prime.

Netflix is getting a little nuts with their prices. Netflix has begun an effort to push customers to either more expensive or ad-supported plans. The cheapest ad-free plan, the Standard plan, now costs $15.50 per month. That's because the company's Basic plan is being phased out for new and returning customers, per the letter to shareholders and Netflix's plans and pricing page. Current subscribers to the Basic plan can keep their plan until it is changed or canceled by the user. https://help.netflix.com/en/node/24926

Heard good things about the movie This Is 40 but haven't watched it yet. But we did watch Tarzan and that was far better then I expected.

Prime is doing the same thing charging $2.99 extra a month for commercial free. UFB! I hate commercials! I pay A LOT for cable and still have to watch commercials? Such a grift! We record most everything and FF through the ads but still it sucks!

Yeah, what's the point of paying for content if you get commercials? Commercial-free is the main reason I have Netflix.

Fargo, Coen brothers. They have a long history of black comedy but this time around they definitely have a political message, so some people definitely aren't going to like the latest series.

Hey guys, you all have one week to get your Netflix parental controls set up otherwise when you get home from work your 6 year old will be watching "X" with rapt attention.

That's right, "X" will start streaming on Netflix on February 1st.

"X" has gruesome kills and unapologetic sex taking place at a creepy farm house at the beginning of the VHS porn industry. The Technicolor "Wizard of OZ" like cinematography will keep your children mesmerized as Maxine brings the ax down.

The Killer by Fincher was great, of course. Watched that a couple weeks ago and it's like a more grounded version of John Wick (ie, more methodical and less over the top action).
