I have a 7 year old RAM modded Esoteric DV-60 that now has frequent trouble reading both CDs and SACDs (plays disc freezes up in middle of disc and does not resume play). I've eliminated power cords, mats, and the discs themselves as causes.Believe transport is going bad.RAM is out of business.Just moved to Denver area and would like a competent local tech to check it out.Any members here know of one?

I don't know anyone who specializes in this but you might try Peter Fletcher-Haynes at http://www.vacuumtubesupplies.com. Looking at the part on e-bay, it looks pretty easy to change and Peter certainly has the facility for this.

There's a pretty good tech here in Coloado Springs. I take my problems to Dennis at Consumer Electronics. No website.
I can't find his number right now, but if you are interested I'll keep digging.
