Reluctantly, I am offering up my Dodd 120 amps for sale. As literally the last pair of the Gen 2 amps (Not part of any special group buy or anything like that).
These are fully chromed (at the time Gary was charging $400.00 for chrome finish) and include upgraded caps, resisitors and diodes. All work has been done by Dan Santoni at DTS Audio and tuned to add a bit more liquidity to the sound. Now they are sonically perfect to my ears
Amps come with kt77 output tubes with the musical GE 7044 input and driver tubes. The tubes have approx 250hrs on them
The amps are functionally perfect, and in excellent cosmetic condition. To my ears, these easily beat out a pair of VAC Musicbloc 160s, and the Moscode 401HR which I also owned in my system., at the same time. It was an easy decision.
So why am I selling? I have since upgraded to a lower powered "211" tube sound. It took a pair of $15k Wytech monoblocks to displace the Dodds in my system, yup, they are that good. If I had the means, I would keep both, but now I need the cash, so I'm motivated to sell.
Asking $2,300 plus shipping. Paypal adds 3% to the total. See picture of right monoblock
Over $700 in upgrades . Open to reasonable offers
Thanks for looking!
