How about an AC get-together before the meeting?

Hey SoCal AC’ers!  How about a get-together at the Russtafarian room before heading over to the LA/OC Audio Society meeting on Sunday afternoon July 18th?  I’m in Westminster about 8 miles north of Tweeter Costa Mesa.

I figured we could get together around 3 p.m. to spin some tunes and share a beverage or two before heading over to the meeting at 5.  Bring your favorite demo material (CD/DAD/SACD/DVD-A).

I’m putting the finishing touches on a system make-over that I began in March and I’d like to hear what you think of it.  This includes:
•Ceiling mounted Magnepan MMG-Ws for rear-channel speakers
•Pioneer DV-563A hot-rodded with Lundahl transformers and upgraded PS diodes and caps
•DYI Tripath six-channel amp

The rest of the rig:
•Gallo Nucleus Reference speakers
•Hsu VTF-2 sub
•Parasound PSP-1500 multi-channel preamp
•Behringer PEQ for sub tuning
•Equi=tech 2QR balanced power conditioner

I’ve heard the surround sound setups at Tweeter and I think my rig does it better.  Only you can tell me whether I’m deluded or on to something.  Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll PM directions.

Hi Russ,

I'm in (schedule permitting).  Where's Mad DOg? He has some good ears.

He'd have to come up from Temeculah!

I do have some Ref cuts to listen to, which I'd like to hear on your rig.

Very cool.  I'll be around all afternoon so any time you guys want to drop by is fine with me.  If you know of anyone else who wants to tag along, that's fine too.

See ya Sunday!
