DRAM has been far too cheap for far too long, so it's about time the manufacturers are finally getting a clue and pulling back production. The suprising part is that it's taken them this long to exhibit some fortitude.

DRAM prices have been at or near cash cost for over a year. Nonexistent margins have lead to rampant consolidation and exits from from the sector. Prices below a level that maintain a healthy, competitive sector are prices that are too low. That it has persisted for over a year is too long.

Well if you buy now its still very cheap - 16GB (4x4) DDR 3 is < $100 US
