ipod shuffle won't sync

ipod shuffle won't sync

I have a second generation ipod shuffle. I have the latest version of itunes. Itunes is running on Windows 7.

When I plug the shuffle into the computer it won't sync. It says it's syncing and two seconds later it says it's done but there's nothing on the shuffle. I have tried turning the sync checked videos and songs on and off with no apparent difference.

I have also done a complete wipe of the ipod.

Did my shuffle croak or am I doing something wrong with the new itunes?

On a more serious note, if a complete wipe didn't solve it it's probably done.

It's mostly dead. I took it to the Apple store and the tech was able to get it to sync only by dragging songs to the ipod but when I got it home I could not replicate this on Windows 7 for 300 songs.

Time for  a new one.
