A couple years ago I heard a pair of Mini Dancer 2s with the Be tweeter at a specialty audio shop. In that particular audition I compared them directly with my old ADS L1290's and Revel F32s.

Of the three the Ushers had the best imagining (very impressive) but I prefered the tonal balance of the ADS and Revel.  To my ears the Ushers sounded a bit "too warm" compared to the ADS and Revel which sounded more neutral to me (keep in mind this could have been due to setup/room issues; I was in an unfamiliar room with unfamiliar equipment).  I do remember liking the Be tweeter very much.

I ultimately ended up buying a pair of Salk HT2-TL which to my ears are better than the Ushers.

Of course, speaker preference is so personal so I strongly encourage you hear them for yourself (they certainly are worth considering).  BTW, why they call them "Mini" is beyond me, they are not small speakers!

Hope this helps.  :)

they are smaller than my usher 6381's.  i was at the lone star audio fest where a guy brought his new home system that consisted of usher mini dancer 2 dmd, pass labs xa-30.5 power amp, melody tube pre. someone came by with a bb king cd that brought tears to my eyes.  of course it could have been due to a few beers   for now found a demo pair with the Be tweeters and i may upgrade to the diamond tweeter later.  as far as the salk i am not that into the sound of planar/ribbon tweeters,  more of a dome person.  the one ribbon that like is the dali version where they use a dome tweeter with a ribbon supertweeter.
