calling all bay area volunteers, burning amp 2013

October 20th 3pm to 5pm.
616 grand avenue, south san Francisco
Mark variac will be addressing the assembled crew for the upcoming burning amp.
I'll be serving home smoked brisket, please bring a dish to pass.
Last year we had eight guys come. The more the merrier!

I wish I could attend. I just spent one week at St. Jose last month, visiting my younger son there.

I always get that rush that reminds me of being a kid,middle of summer, and wanting to get my 4H project ready for the county fair.
I want to rewire my phono stage and make it match my new amps and linestage.
Also going to track down someone to bring a pair of speakers. Maybe econowaves.
Just tired of dragging my jazz modules there.

To realize the speakers true potential, he asked me to used 4 of these special 6C33C amp (mine) with built-in active crossover to bi-amp them which I am still hesitating (too much work to bring all these hardware up to the room).

Unison: don't you think four of those amps are overkill for your own use? Don't you feel the need to "share the wealth"

That's was only 4, I have 6 of these to power my speakers, it took 6 months to get it all work to my satisfaction.

Well, I finally found somebody who would build these amplifiers with utmost care, he is working on 4 more monoblock with 1200V on B+.

After the hearing the GM70 in the picture with the speakers, I have decided instead to bring a bi-amp system, it would be more fun to bring a pair of 6C33C and a pair of GM70.
