music such as clasical etc,you dont have to use an expensive headphone either,it performs fantastically,so if youre in the market for one, just check it out.

George: I mean this constructively, but there is absolutely no way I'd ever even consider purchasing a product from a site that was so unprofessional. I would really consider having someone proof the site for you, cause it really looks awful. Also, I'm not an electronics guy, but those specs look really odd to me.

Agree with everything ajzepp says, this is the most amateurish looking website I have ever seen. It does not inspire confidence in the product- rather the opposite. I also wouldn't buy on an "all sales final" basis. Good luck.

This sounds like a nice feature of his amp:

Our amplifiers take stereo or monophonic and turn it into hifi monophonic sound, this kind of sound is relaxing and easy listening.

Hi Ralf, yes it's fully monophonic, myself I don't listen to stereo with headphones, simply put the stereo is mixed at the inputs and one amplifier drives two phones,it's only one amplifier!,to be honest I prefer the loudspeaker to headphones,I dont know it's somehow even more relaxing, finaly thanks for your kind remark. :)

cheers

So you are converting a stereo signal to mono before sending to the headphones?

If that's true, I would reconsider that one.  I think that is going to put people off, I wouldn't buy an amp like that.

Hi Randy, all the sounds are amplified, even from stereo,it's only the phones are monophonic, yes you should reconsider, i guess you want a stereo amp, even with that crossfeed filters do the same thing, the amplifier is really good I must say.

So I understand that all the infomation is there, and that you are combining both signals, but its not the same.

Would you do that for a speaker system?  If you would not for speakers, then why is it OK for headphones?

For headphones, there is a soundstage, and you will lose that soundstage with your amp.  This soundstage is different, its in your head, but it is there, and for serious head phone people its a big deal.

So maybe it was presumptuous of me to say you should reconsider your design, but I consider this a deal breaker.

Cross feed filters just send a small part of the signal to the other side, to simulate the sound bleeding you get in a speaker system.
They don't mix both signals completely together like you're doing.

You may have a good amplifier stage, but I think the basic design concept if flawed.

No it's not the same, that's what I'm getting at, the same happens when my sony walkman switches from stereo to mono, only it's not my amplifier,it's got that option, and I use it there too, only my amplifier has good tight bass, crystal clear mids, crisp detailed highs :D, and sounds fantastic.

cheers

I think we just need to agree to disagree, I don't see mono headphones as a good thing, but what I think really doesn't matter.

I don't have anything else to say on the subject, so good luck with you project.

I never heard mono headphones but I love the way sounds can split up and move to one side or the other, wider, etc. On stereo speakers, at least the way mine are setup I can hear each instrument, depending on the mix, usually coming from a certain spot out in front of me. When my speakers are set perfectly I can even hear stereo images far, far right or left and almost behind me. There are a couple recordings mixed so that certain sounds pop in from way far to either side or behind me and I don't know how they do that. I understand hard right or left but how they get a stereo image to project from what sounds like behind me is beyond me.

I think, although I could be wrong but if those same recordings are being played back in mono I loose all of that and on speakers the sound all just gets centered. In headphones I would loose the separation I mentioned above. For me, I prefer stereo, I dug Quad when it worked..LOL :thumb:

Hi eclein, you should listen to them!,they got the sound stage in the center of your head, the sounds dont bleed close to your ears as it is with stereo, mono headphones are smooth and inviting to listen to more music.

cheers :)

Mono? If I want it, it is very easy to get. All I have to do is flip a switch (real or virtual, depending on the signal chain). Mono I am stuck with whether I want it or not? No thanks. While there are many excellent mono recordings, stereo recordings played in mono sometimes sound... not quite right.

A mono-only amp in 2012? For $200?  Good luck with that

I wouldn't even know where to start looking for one myself....and I like the separation of the sound from one side or the other when its called for by the artist. I'd miss that too much I think...
