Any "Drop In" replacement tweeters for Dynaudio BM5A powered monitors?

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well. I run my DAC straight to monitors and use digital volume control via Amarra or Fidelia. Recently the power went out and when my Apogee Rosetta 200 DAC turned off it gave the loud thump which sadly blew the right tweeter of my Dynaudio BM5A active monitor. The replacement tweeters from Dynaudio are $140 a piece which is a little steep for me at the moment. I know the moral of the story is get a pre-amp or attentuator to prevent that from happening again but I really dig the sound I get DAC direct to amps. My question is are there any other tweeters that will "drop in" so to speak and are easier on the wallet than the factory replacements? If there are different options I might even just replace both of them for the heck of it as a fun experiment. The BM5A's have 1.1" soft domes originally. Thanks to anyone who shares their time!

If you do find a recommended replacement, you should definitely replace both tweeters unless it's literally the very same tweeter but from a less expensive source.

David, you might look at the Morel brand of drivers. They have virtually the same technology as Dynaudio. You need the same power handling capability and response curve. Morel is the only manufacturer that comes to mind, I can't recommend a specific tweeter but one of them might be close enough to drop in and work.  Good luck.

I would probably just go with replacing the Dynaudio tweeter as that is what the built-in electronic crossover & powered amp are optimized for.

$140 apiece for the original replacement tweet isn't unreasonable.  When Dynaudio stopped selling speakers to the DIY's about 8-10 years ago, (has it really been that long?) a D28/2 was around the same retail price.

The Morel tweeters that would maybe... sort of... might work in your Dyaudio monitors, currently run $75-80 apiece plus shipping from Madisound.  BTW- They are very good sounding tweeters, I use them in my Grove & Morel 6 models.
