Buddy and Doug - thanks for the compliments on the tuner. It's definitely a fine piece of equipment. I had it gone over by Bill Ammons. He recapped it, installed new filters, upgraded the audio op amps, and realigned it. It's now a very good sounding unit - as good as any tuner I've had in my system and I've owned a lot of tuners.

yup, bill does great work. i still have a heathkit aj1600 he did; it is amazing. i can believe your tu9900 is special; even stock; they are really really nice sounding. mine was first refurb'd by joseph chow and then modded further by mike williams - aka: punker-x of radio-x tuners. it was mitey-fine, for sure. i've owned a lot of tuna, also. but i only have about 50 right now...

Yeah, I think he foresees the future that 8-track is going to be obsolete and out soon and freaked him out that dad is leaving him a piece audio of door stopper

I haven't, but I want to build a 7.1 setup based on those Patrician IV's. Wonder how much they bring used. Then gotta get the E-V 30-inch for a sub
