I'm a longtime Hulu Plus subscriber and was ecstatic when they got the Criterion Collection rights. Being able to stream some seriously classic movies in HD for a pittance each month is awesome.
Recently my Acer laptop died, so I got a new Macbook Air to replace it. Last night I finished getting everything set up the way I want it and decided to kick back with a bit of comedy. Went to Hulu, searched for all the Chaplin films and decided to watch "The Kid", since I'd never seen it. I have to say, with 720p and the pixel density of the Air, it looked PHENOMENAL. It was made in 1921!!!!!! Man, this opens up a whole new world of movie viewing to me. I used to hate watching really old movies because they looked like crap. But, thanks to Criterion, Hulu, HD, and Apple, I am enjoying the hell out of how awesome these great old movies actually look.
Just thought I would share!
