I just listened to a segment about sound on All Things Considered which intrigued me and it seems like it will impact almost everyone in a good way. Chris Kyriakakis and Audyssey is licensing DSP software that is now currently used and will be incorporated in many new audio products.

The ATC web page does little to explain what the software does, it is best to listen to the report because it has sound samples. I'm not suggesting the technology will influence the high end (although it is currently being used in Imax theaters and high-end European automobiles) but for all the other ways we listen to music either through laptop computers, ear buds or TV's this sounds like a great leap forward. Check it out.

Does anyone have electronics with the Audyssey software? Does it work?
There is a list on the Audyssey website: http://www.audyssey.com/
