My Squeezebox was dead

Was.  The power supply bought it.  I just happened to have a 5v power supply I could use temporarily but that supply is needed for original purpose.  Any of you guys have an extra Squeezebox power supply that they could part with?

Hey,

Electronics Exchange on the Rock Road (at Woodson) has tons of surplus 5v power supplies on their shelves. They are in the far left isle about half way down on your right. You'll need a 5v, 2amp unit. they should have some linear (as opposed to switching) power supplies on the shelf. You'll likely have to swap out the plug that goes at the end of the cord but that shouldn't be an issue.

The best one I've found down there is one that was used for a Lexmark printer. It is a big, beefy linear that sounds pretty darned good.

Bruce charges $5/amp.

Thanks Scott.  I've never been there before so I'll have to check them out.  Gateway didn't have anything when I was there yesterday for other parts.

If you have trouble finding one, pm me. I think I have one or two. They won't be beefy linears but they will get you up and running again.

Thank you everyone for all of the suggestions and offers of help.  The closest person to me(marginally) that has offered a power supply is Blackmore so I will be taking him up on his offer.  Again, thanks everyone.   :thumb:

Hmm...give a bucketload of excuses or just say no.  So, no.

It will be the first thing I check when I get home tonight.  Compressor ran all day yesterday but cooling was weak.
