My friend just finished his basement and wants to replace his HTiB set-up but doesn't want to drop a whole lot of money. For the sub I was thinking maybe of putting the SW-12B in enclosure: http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_136&products_id=905 , if it models well in WinISD. However, I'm a total noob when using it so is there anyone proficient with it that would be able to tell me if they are a suitable match? For the amp I was thinking of going with the Apex Sr. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Then get one of these PR's before they're gone: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=107055.msg1099255#msg1099255Then build this box: http://gr-research.com/pdf/sub.pdf
Thanks for the info Danny. Where would the amp go in a box like that?
Sorry I'm new to sub building. Also, to be sure, the SW-12B isn't a good match for that kit from eD?
I thought they were gone. Hook me up, man.
So for sealed, maybe something like this: http://www.diysoundgroup.com/flat-packs-1/subwoofer-flatpacks/1-25-sub-flat-pack.htmlHe could just get the blank baffle and do the cut himself. Does it have enough bracing?
