We delayed DDA-100 to change the faceplate design.
Get ready to be shocked by their performance.
DAC-100 shipping next week.

I see three photos of the DAC-100 on the NuForce website, the one you posted and two other front views at slightly different angles.  What about a view of the rear panel, interior and remote?

Exciting. How does the DDA-100 compare to the IA-7 V3?

What is the gain on the headphone output and is it adjustable?  Is the 32-bit volume control post-dac?  Both are important questions for very sensitive in-ear monitors (e.g., Ultimate Ears Reference Monitors).

Thanks,

Ken

OK, a little bit confused.

Toka's 2nd link is from NuForce, but it doesn't mention anything about a power amp section (power ratings, connections, nada).

Yet all the other links mention 50 wpc.

And while I'm looking dumb...

What's the sonic difference between DDA-100 and Dia (other than 24 vs. apparent 50 wpc)?

TIA

Hi Steve,

I don't have a photo of the rear, we'll have to wait for NuFORCE to post it.

The 2nd link in TOKA's post is for the DAC-100 which is a DAC only, no power amp involved.

His first link is for the DDA-100 which is a small 100wpc Integrated Amp only.

DDA-100 has USB input in addition to S/PDIF, more power, better performance. But it is bigger and cost more. Dia is ideal for a very compact setup.

Gawd, that DDA-100 in silver looks too cool.   :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

What color are the LED's?  (blue I hope)

The DDA100 is a very intriguing amp. Nicely priced as well.

Does the dac100 have a remote and can it be used as a preamp?

Yes, it does have a remote.

It is not suggested that it be used as a Preamp, but I haven't been told why yet.

Outputs are 2mV and RCA only.

RCA outputs are 2V (not 2mV) and since 2V is not high enough, we don't recommend it to be used as a preamp but it is ok since for most people 1+ V output to a power amp can produce more than 100W of power. It all depends on the gain of your amp.
As comparison, DAC-9 192K  has 4V outputs.
