Bob Moog is 78 . His  invention set the stage for some very dynamic sounds and although, not acoustic, allowed the advent of "electronica". Switched on Bach was a terrific system workout both analogue and digital............. :thumb:

Although I never did get a Moog I guess I can thank the late Robert Moog indirectly for my introduction to Bryston when I added a 2BLP pro to my "Electronic Music" studio in 1985.

Except for the monitors and a 3B I still have all this stuff and with a recent acquisition of another 2BLP pro I guess I've come full circle.

Yeh , you know there an abstract connection ( for me) between Bryston and Moog that way. I think my beginnings into digital sound started with this electronic synthesis . Today, as a result, I am most taken with stuff like Delerium and Enigma as well as Massive Attack ect ect ect.............My Bryston gear has been the launch pad into other realms of musical  experience .

Amazing studio Rob, reminds me of :- http://sites.google.com/site/werdaviesrichard/tristam-cary

i went to his Suffolk studio in about 1966, fascinating setup.

There are a few bits on Spotify now which you could find of historic interest.

Me too, although as a teen I messed around with “Freak Out” in the late 60’s by manually playing the record backwards and shuffling the styles back and forth along the groves (probably my first foray into Musique concrète) and driving my friends crazy, it wasn’t till much latter in the 80’s that I discovered Zappa was a big admirer of Varèse.
