If only I could find a secondhand pair of X-Statiks to buy to match one of these centers...I've been scouring the internet for months and it seems like nobody wants to get rid of their pair.

I know the economy is really bad right now, but I am still surprised that these were not jumped all over. Folks these speakers are really good and the price is crazy low. And an X-Voce and matching pair of X-Statik's are an incredible combination.

I had a stock pair of X-Statik's in my room at RMAF in 2008 with one of our servo subs and had outstanding sound. Stereo Mojo picked our room as one of the best of show rooms.

Well, ignore my last message now since obviously this sale is still live.  Anyone doing a flat pack for these as well for us without the tooling for the boxes?  I was hoping to see someone stepping in to offer this but it looks like no luck...

A little off topic but can you comment Danny regarding the bass delivery of the up firing woofers of the O-3s verses say the front firing OB 5s?

I am thinking of the visceral delivery and impact, leading edge of notes, etc?

Also, with the woofers higher up, does one still get bass foundation on the bottom of the soundstage, or does it come off with a higher presentation?

Well, I have 200 more SW-12-04 woofers on order. When they arrive then maybe. Right now I am pretty low on them so I can't be running any sales on them for now.

I actually just did that, but he is still unsure if he is going to proceed with that from what he stated.

Also, shipping from NC could be pricey.

Changing the direction of the way the woofer faces really doesn't have much to do with the lowest ranges that it covers. What it does is change the off axis response of the speaker to where the upper ranges more evenly load the room instead of being so directional.

Yes it does.

It is also pretty easy to upgrade them with some Sonicaps and really make a world class speaker out of it. The same goes for the X-Voce. And the X-Voce crossover is in the open baffle area behind the mids so it is real easy to get to.

For cabinets you guys might want to check with jparkhur, Ron, or Outofthewoods (Ruben). I am sure any of those guys could cut a pair of flat packs real easy to. jparkhur is in WI. Ron is in VA, and Ruben is in CO. All have had 100% positive feedback from everyone that I know of.
