This is an excellent Prima Luna Prologue Three with the optional Phono section. The pre-amp comes with a matched pair of NOS Mullard 12AU7 tubes, a matched pair of NOS Mullard 12AX7 tubes, as well as a matched pair of NOS 5AR4 tubes (I can't remember the brand.) Additionally the fuse has been replaced with a HiFi Tuning audiophile fuse and each tube has a Herbies tube damper.
The MM Phono Stage offers 42dB of gain, great for MM cartridges as well as high output MC cartridges.
The pre-amp works as it should and looks great, but it does have a few scratches. One is behind the right power cap (which is hidden by the tube cage), and the other is on the top near the back side. They didn't bother me because neither was visible on the rack. In any case, I reduced the cosmetics to 7/10.
This little pre-amp has been the darling of reviewers. Absolute Sound named it an Editor's Choice Award for five years and has awarded it a Golden Ear. It is also a Stereophile recommended component.
