VR 44 Pics with grills
« on: 28 Apr 2012, 09:11 pm »
I have the VR 4 Sr's and am thinking of upgrade to the VR 44's but can't even approach my wife without a 44 picture with grills on. She is very wedded to the V4 4 SR's in African wood as the best looking speakers we have ever had in our living room. Anyone have pics of the 44 with grills
Thanks

Hello Gammayo,

Sound is very good indeed.

These VR 44's are specially made in non reflecting 'Stealth black' for Home Theatre to dissapear from the screen.

You can order the VR 44 in different collors. Please ask VSA.

Good luck,

Cor

Gammayo ... if there is anything I’ve learned in my 30 plus years of marriage .. It is one person is “ALWAYS” right and the other one is ALWAYS the husband

Here’s a quick and easy trick to sell the deal .. never tell her how much you paid .. instead tell her how much you SAVED

Women key in on discounts and savings .. not price

Example .. honey look I just picked these speakers up for 12K .. her response will be “That’s a lota money”

Put some spin on it .. with a set of speakers say  listing for $20K and you paid $12K .. you say look honey I just saved $8K on these speakers .. she will say “That’s a lota money .. good job”  or give her the percentage off and she’ll be just as impressed .. Look honey I just save 40% on these beautiful speakers .. she will easily relate to that better than telling her what you flat out paid

If that doesn’t work .. jewelry always does .. I just bought my wife a Mood ring off Ebay  .. it works great .. when she is in a good Mood it glows Emerald Green and when she is in a bad Mood it leaves a RED mark in the middle of my forehead  :duh:

DISCLOSURE .. still listening to my five VR4.5’s in my HT room from the Bronze Age when Albert was still creating in NY State

Yup. Probably have to ask them to do them in the African Hazelwood again. Did you hear the VR4 Sr's and if so how would you describe the difference?

Hello Gammayo,

The VR 44's are more clear and detailed, more like the VR 5.
The powered bass is full and strong.

dhrab - Sorry I missed your post - got a kick out of it! Since my wife wants to know price, I use a specialized horror - relief approach. It takes about six months. And it helps that when I met her I had Polk 2.3's the size of doors so that she know that I am seriously deranged concerning stereo.
I begin by showing her some pics of really expensive and (to her) horrible looking speakers like the big MBL's at $100K plus. After a series of these I drop down to the more accommodating to the 60K range by still ugly. Then I get to the realistic stuff but still ugly - by now she is suitably horrified. I then wait until she wants something big and I say sure if I can get some speakers. When she protests about how expensive and ugly, that is when I bring out the real deal, beautiful speakers at a what now seems a reasonable price and yes they are 50% off. The only thing is that I have to budget twice the amount, to pay for her spree as well as mine. But she is worth every penny, being a best honey for me on the planet.javascript:void(0);

Right, since I moved in with my partner I find the cost of doing business is more than the purchase price of the equipment, after I have paid the protection money to the mafia.
