Mini diesel isn't sold here in the U.S.
Except for inconvenient and very expensive service I really like my 2009 Subaru Outback, especially for northern winters (no disrespect to Paul above). But it irks me to no end that Subaru builds a 60 mpg diesel version here in the U.S. and exports every one of them to Europe (where I'm sure they sell at a very high premium). Man, I'd love that car.
I like my 2009 Corolla too (reliable, 37 mpg, comfortable, cheap/convenient service) but like nearly all Toyota models, dull as dishwater.
Little point for a bald old fart to own a drop top in Michigan (heck I ended up with a sunroof years ago and rarely used it after the first sunny (rare) winter).
Paul, now I've really got to visit you on my next trip up there.
