I recently bought cheap head shell wires for a different purpose, I needed clips
the fit the rear pins of a tape playback head. It so happened that the diameters
are same 1/16 inch. My three decks have arms with stationary heads so I can't
have fun changing wires, My Audio Quest arm has their high end interconnects so the connectors must be good.
