Lone Star Audio Fest is looking pretty good

I am planning on going again this year with my usual gang. I have one of the larger ground floor exhibit rooms again. And I am working on something new to roll out.

Gary Dodd from Dodd Audio will be there, and Dave Elledge from PI Audio is going. Looks like Duke from Audio Kinesis is going again too. Legacy Audio is coming too. They are a first timer to LSAF I think.

I exchanged some e-mails with Jim Salk about LSAF. He was considering it. So you guys will have to poke him a little with the idea. Maybe he will come too.

I'll be there. It's only about an hour drive for me. Will give me a chance to finally here some of your spekaers. Do you know what you are taking yet? (besides the something new)

I went Saturday last year with Anne. She was worn out/burned out in a few hours. Doesn't she understand you have to train for these things?

It was just at the Hilton last year - two hotels this year, and 1 day wasn't enough (for me) to get through all the rooms then. RMAF was definitely larger, but this was a BIG show with HUGE crowds. Thinking about Bach'ing it and spending at least one night this year. I'll let Anne take the car and shop while I get my audio fix.

SO COOL. I've always wanted to go to one of these things. Now, if only I could bring my speakers to find out how the sound with better equipment pushing them.

I will be there too! Right now it's looking like I'll have two rooms, one in the Frisco conference room which is unfortunately on the other end of the main floor ... just past the breakfast area and pool. And the second room I'd setup in my sleeping room.

I would have a few manufacturers represented:

Well, there was some talk about me hosting a little after hours small two way speaker shoot out but I it hasn't materialized yet.

I contacted the local YG Acoustics dealer but he did not have any more Carmels on hand. Otherwise he was interested. YG Acoustics has been pushing some head to head comparisons in the past.

If any of you guys come up with some top level monitors or small floor standing speakers and want to do something like that then let me know. I do have a larger sized room that will be well treated. I'll have some top level gear there in my room as well. So it makes for a nice location.

It looks like I'll once again be showing with a pair of Super-V's. So if you guys have still not had a chance to hear a pair, now is your chance.

I have one other company now interested in a shoot out. Does anyone one else have something interesting that they'd like to bring? I think I can put this together pretty easily if there is enough interest.
