Carver ALIII for sale

These speakers sound breathtaking when working. The instruments dance around and the bass pounds deep and fast. These are not working right now. The magnet glue has failed (Columbus Ohio to St. Louis move had a good bit of vibration) and the magnets are rubbing against the ribbons in both speakers. Will need repair and restoration and I can put you in touch with the repair expert. The expert is Ed Atkins and he is THE man for the job. Restoration cost will be 600 dollars. You can get an idea of the sound in my system, you will hear some distortion but the rest of the sound will come through. Once restored you will have a special set of speakers for your lifetime.

I would like 375 dollars for them in their current state. They can be used as passive subwoofers if you would like, the bass is that good. Bi amp capable! Text at 6147401248 for inquiries.

Opera CD sets and individual discs
I have approximately 50 multi-CD opera sets, most with libretti, and around 70 other operatic-related CDs that I would like to sell or?

The photo shows some of the opera-related discs.  If you are interested in the sets, call me and I can give you a quick run-down of the titles.

I'm asking $100 for everything.

Thanks for checking out my ad.  Kent Johnson 636-399-8053

Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary Speakers - SOLD SOLD SOLD
« Reply #726 on: 18 Dec 2024, 02:07 pm »
Terrific Linton's in great shape I've had since 2022. Look awesome and sound wonderful. I recommend driving with a solid state amp, although I usually used tubes as that's my preference.

I'm selling because it's time to move on, as that's what I do with my audio hobby. Enjoy for a year or two, and move on to another listening experience. These are extremely good speakers for the price. As of this posting, the only pair available on USAudioMart.com. I will entertain offers, but the price is more than fair, no lowballers please.

Apologies for the goofy orientation of the photos.  This interface always does crap like that.  Note one small ding on the top edge of one. You can see it in the photo, but not from more than 2' away, and certainly not if you're not looking for or focusing on it.

Specs include:
40Hz ~ 20kHz frequency response and need no sub, unless you're a huge bass head.
90db sensitivity (very efficient)
8" bass driver
5" mid range driver
1" tweeter

These are a substantial "bookshelf" speaker that weigh almost 40lbs each.

These come with the covers (not shown). I never used them, but Wharfedale claims they're necessary. (Not really
IMO.)

NO STANDS are included.

Hello,

I have for sale a pair of Audio Nirvana 15” full range high efficiency drivers in large ported cabinets (44”x18.75”x14.75) that I purchased from David Dicks of Common Sense Audio years ago. They were his personal pair used in his living room which he sold to me. The cabinets are not in perfect condition as they weren't new when I bought them, and bottoms got a little bit wet after a small water infiltration in my basement. For anyone who is sincerely interested, I will be happy to provide more photos and information. They need a new home and I'll consider any offers. Thanks!

I am selling my VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine.  I am original owner and have had it for many years but it's in good working and physical condition.  I have some remaining solution and other additional items that come with it.

$300.00 firm, local pick up only.

Hey GAS crew, got a few items to pass along.  My price is a bottle of good wine.  What's good?  Surprise me.  What if I don't like it?  Oh well, throw in a cigar if you're worried about it.

First, remember these?  I'm told they still stream quite nicely.  This one has all the Bolder analog mods and the power supply.

Next, Marantz stuff.  Every slider has an LED, so I'd imagine one or two are burned out.  Otherwise functional as far as I know

Marantz tuner, works but backlight LED needs replacement

How about an everything works, Pioneer CT-F2121.  Supposedly a good deck, but I'd rather listen to my tinitus than play cassettes.

And this, no 2 buck chuck for this please.  Someone could part this out for a pretty penny, but hopefully it'll go to someone who wants a nice first turntable.  Rega Planar 3, Grace 707 arm, and a Supex 900 Super.  It's a mess, but it's all there.  The Supex undoubtedly needs a retip.  The table itself had been used by me in the past and was functionally perfect.  The decade old layer of dust and cat dander goes with it unfortunately.

And I might as well throw this up while I'm at it.  All steel equipment rack, tempered glass shelves.  I think I paid about $200 for this in 1998, which would make it $2.3 million today.  Or, the low cost of one bottle of decent wine.

SOLD -- Aiyima A70 with 48 volt/5 amp power supply. Six months old. Only selling as I've acquired a WiiM Vibelink amp which is a better cosmetic match to my Ultra streamer. Price $120 includes shipping. (Note: many of the units sold on Amazon do not include the power brick which needs to be purchased separately.)
