An old STL-area TV repairman died recently. His daughter is a friend of mine and has a crap-ton of electronics stuff to get rid of. O'scopes, resistors, tubes (I get first look at them

Update on TV/electronic tech's estate:

There is an estate sale in Collinsville at 1042 A Lafayette Ct. tomorrow for leftovers from two of my friend's relatives who passed away in the past year or so. I'm told there's "some" electronics in the mix, but it doesn't sound like much as yet. He was a pack rat and had lots of stuff, but I don't think audio was in his area of expertise.

That's all the info I have for now.

UPDATE: The Advents have SOLD. Thanks for your interest!

A pair of New Large Advent speakers with the bullnose walnut trim. Finish is nice except for a little light scratching on the top of one speaker that would disappear with some TLC. The speakers were refoamed two years ago and sound great. Comes with some basic speaker stands. I'd like $260. Thanks for looking.

They ARE great. I've got a 10x10 room, and I generally listen to jazz or Steely Dan-type rock. So I'm moving from the Advents with a Pioneer to more of a midrange, British BBC-type set up driven by a 60s tube amp. Keeping the Pioneer for now.

I have a pair of Snell Type E ii Speakers for sale. They are in really nice shape, they look and play exceptionally well. These are for local St Louis area pickup. I think they are worth $375 but open to offers and would trade for a nice phono Cartidge.
