Is the top shelf wide enough?
At 74" wide, the top shelf could accommodate four standard ~ 17" wide components or even a combination of 17" and 19" components. It looks like the other two shelves could accommodate three components? Also, from the specs the top shelf is 16-1/2" deep. The other two shelves would have less depth. What is the depth of those shleves? Steve
Nice! I regretfully wish there was an Ikea around me.

And of course there's the famous Ikea Lack rack (this one's not mine, but I did build and still use a 5 shelf version):http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40104270/Put forth by Caterham1700 in this thread:http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?htech&1001889380&read&keyw&zzrack%20and%20ikea
Did you have to remove the middle shelf for this build? And what are you using for that bottom platform?
Ikea is made for mail ordering.
You'll notice a lack of components on mine as I'm in the build stage now. This was a DIY project (search flexirack) that uses Ikea countertops (24" depth cut back to 18") and 74" wide. There is no flex even with this large span and heavy plasma TV on. It is heavy though! Construction is very simple for "flexiracks"....just threaded rod and washers/nuts.http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20057854/
