I can't make it Dave, but.....

We've talked about me sending the GAS members mass emails when there's a post about a member having an open house. Reason being is that there are many members that don't frequent the forums often enough to see thread like this, especially the "short notice" ones.

You want me to send one out?
If so, you can also put a max number of attendee's as well.

Not available, that's 100 acre wood (http://www.100aw.org/) weekend. But I would appreciate the mass-email in the future because I don't normally check the forums regularly.

Sorry!  We're hosting the FIRST Tech Challenge state championships down here at Missouri S&T.

Just like a convention of audiophools, only MUCH younger!

We have been in Chicago at an aunt's funeral, so sorry for the delayed response.

Willie, your SET amps would be most cordially welcome for a visit, along with any jazz CDs you might want to hear!

Bob, if you want to, email the folks who have posted their map locations, if you can. While it would be nice to get more members at functions, the pop up and periodic personal home events are somewhat private events where I don't mind if the plurality of people are folks I know. I have tried to beat the bushes before, and give a month prior notice, so I'm lukewarn about mass e-mails.

I understand about not having the proverbial sign hanging at the grocery store for "all to see are welcome" kinda thing.
But I've got the GAS email list and can get all or nothing. There's no way to sort out whether or not they've got a pin on the map.
Regarding "if I want to", is irrelevant. This is your deal and I have no say in the matter so it doesn't make any difference to me. I'm just trying to help. The offer still stands if you want me to alert the group.

As I mentioned earlier, you can always limit the head count to whatever number is good for you.

A big thanks to Dave for hosting another great afternoon of tunes, topics, treats, and talk.  There is always something new (old) at his house, a one of a kind ARC SP-3 or a set of Fraziers or something.  I always learn something new.

Thanks for the kind comments, guys. Things always go well when friends come over and there are no fires or dropsies.

Willie, that amp of yours is captivating, and easily was a hit of the gathering. It is wonderful to see such a DIY idea come to full maturity, in all its glory.  :thumb: I really hope your mentor can come in for the next gathering, and I'll set up the Nelson Pass licensed Nakamich 200 wpc amp on the Fultons.

For those who couldn't make it, here is a glimpse of Willie's creation.

Thanks, Dave, for a good time as always. What other host calls you the day after to see if you enjoyed yourself? That's hospitality. Thanks again, Dave , and to Willie, and his labor of love, simply amazing, both to see and to hear. Finally got to meet local techs who have my life in their hands. Lots of good free info shared, the kind that costs money when your stuff's on the bench. I really appreciated seeing the familiar faces as well.:green:
