I am wondering if I can use my SB Touch to listen to tomorrow's Warren Hellman memorial concert, being streamed online at www.strictlybluegrass.com?

I use it frequently for internet radio stations, but can I just point it at the appropriate link from the above website to hear the concert?

Turns out you can't do that.  No way to enter a URL that I could find, so can't even tell if it would work with a specific streaming tech.  All you can do is search internet radio stations, and I couldn't find one that was carrying the simulcast.

Oh, well -- guess I'll just have to spend the afternoon in front of the computer, with my Nuforce setup.  Steve Earl is onstage at the moment....

No way to _enter_ a URL in Squeezebox Server, or do you mean that you can't identify a URL for the stream?

Connect your Touch to your local Squeezebox Server, then pull up the web interface and you can enter a URL under Home > Internet Radio > Tune in URL.

or try going to mysqueezebox.com. Under the Favorites tab is a place to enter a URL.

OK, thanks, I'll try that.  Don't know if it will work with the specific streaming tech they are using, but worth a try.

Nope, doesn't work.  Too bad -- the streaming version they are using isn't recognized by SB server -- it tries to start, then just stops and goes back to 0.00 and the "stopped" icon.

That's just a URL for a web page. It's streaming a flash video, which can't be played by Squeezebox.

I think it's HTML 5, actually.  In any event, SB won't play it.

I wonder if anyone's written a plug-in for this kind of thing?
